28-8 VICTORY FOR JV AGAISNT WILDCATS
Monday, October 02, 2017

In their 3rd contest of the season, the JV team was able to get a 20 point victory at Memorial Stadium against the Wilson Central Wildcats.

Hendersonville would kickoff to begin the game, and the COMMANDO defense would force a punt after three WCHS snaps.  On Hendersonville’s first offensive possession, they would throw an interception after picking up one first down.  Following the turnover, the Wildcats would get a drive going with a couple of first downs through the air before Jalen House would get the ball back for HHS with an interception.  Issiah Chandler would pick up a COMMANDO first down on the ground before HHS was forced to punt.  Wilson Central would have a long run to move the ball on their next series before Will Batson and JD Jordan would have quarterback sacks on back to back plays ending the WCHS drive as the 2nd sack was on 4th down.  After this stop, the COMMANDOS would get on the board with a 79 yard TD run by Issiah Chandler.  The Wildcats would gain a 1st down on their next possession, but another sack by Batson would force them to punt.  Hendersonville would march down the field and score another touchdown, this one by passing as Ryan Winter would throw to Drew Hohenbrink for a 20 yard TD completion.  The COMMANDOS would force a 3 & out, and the clock would run out on the first half after one offensive snap following the punt.

HHS would have the ball near midfield after a failed onside kick attempt by WCHS to start the 2nd half.  Good runs by Issiah Chandler and Jacob Newton would get the ball down the field and HHS would cross the goaline with a TD run by Jackson Alford.  On the ensuing Wildcat possession, a pass interference by HHS on 4th down would keep their drive going and a run would set them up with 1st and goal.  The COMMANDO defense would keep the Wildcats off the board with four consecutive stops to get the ball back.  Dylan Ferguson would have a catch and Justin Coleman would have a nice run as HHS moved the ball again.  Hohenbrink would score his 2nd touchdown on this drive with a 40 yard TD run.  On the final drive of the night, WCHS would move down the field and score, after adding a 2 point conversion the clock would run out with Hendersonville winning 28-8.

The JV team has one game left this season as they will travel to Mt. Juliet on October 16 to take on the Golden Bears at 6:00.
