The 2014 season saw the COMMANDOSwin their first District/Region title since 2008 when HHS was the Region 5-5AChampions.  Hendersonville went 9-1 induring the regular season with the highest scoring offense in school history,and was a perfect 7-0 in District 9 games making them the District 9-AAAChampions.  The 9-1 record made the COMMANDOS a number 2 seed in the class6A playoff bracket.  HHS was able to wintheir 1st playoff game at Memorial Stadium by defeating Independence49-20, but were upended in the 2nd round by Centennial at home.  The team averaged scoring over 47 points pergame throughout the regular season which is a school record, and also broke theregular season record for rushing yards with 3,326 yards which smashed therecord of 2,704 rushing yards in the regular season which was set one yearearlier in 2013.  The team also tied the schoolrecord for points in a single when they score 63 against Mt. Juliet.

School Records – Theteam broke the 10 game regular season record for points scored with 473 totalpoints scored.  The team also broke the10 game regular season records for rushing yards in a 10 game regular season andtotal yards in the regular season with 3,326 rushing yards and 4,097 totalyards.  The team tied the record for mostpoints scored in a game with the 63 points they scored in a 63-38 victory overMt. Juliet at Memorial Stadium on October 10th.  Senior Running Back #3 Cameron Turner leavesthe program as the all-time leader rusher with 2,643 yards for his career.  Turner also is #1 in the record books forrushing touchdowns in a career with 37, total touchdowns in a career with 40,and points scored in a career with 240. Senior Quarterback #2 Jeremias Elston is the leader in HHS history fortouchdown passes in a career with 26. Senior Reciever #19 Braden Schwerdt took over the top spot in HHShistory for touchdown receptions in a career with 10.
